Sr. Content Manager - ConsumerWatsonville, CA Location - Remote Salary - 126K - 146KPOSITION SUMMARY As the leader of Sunwave Studio's Consumer Content team, the Sr. Content Manager - Consumer will build and lead Nordic Naturals' evolving consumer content ecosystem across organic social, editorial, consumer education, creator and influencer content, and other owned-channel experiences. This role requires an exceptional people leader as much as an exceptional content leader. The ideal candidate brings a clear point of view on the future of content, inspires talented people to do their best work, creates clarity and momentum across a multidisciplinary team, and builds a culture of collaboration, curiosity and accountability. They will translate Brand strategy and business priorities into an always-on content vision that is distinctive, relevant and useful to consumers, while continually challenging the organization to think differently about how Nordic Naturals connects with its audiences.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Define and lead an integrated, always-on consumer content strategy informed by Brand strategy and business priorities, ensuring content is coordinated across the consumer journey and aligned with marketing priorities, product launches, audience needs, and business goals.• Translate Brand briefs and strategic priorities into coordinated editorial and content plans across organic social, consumer education, creator content, and other owned-channel experiences.• Lead, inspire and develop a multidisciplinary Consumer Content team, creating a culture where people feel empowered to bring forward ideas, challenge convention, collaborate across disciplines and produce exceptional work.• Set a compelling vision for the future of Nordic Naturals & consumer content and translate that vision into clear priorities, opportunities and expectations for the team.• Coach and develop team members, recognizing individual strengths, creating meaningful growth opportunities and building future leaders.• Own the integrated content calendar and align it with the broader marketing calendar, media plan, product priorities, seasonal moments, and key brand initiatives.• Partner with Creative and Production to develop original photo, video, editorial, social, and creator-led content supporting campaigns and always-on needs.• Strengthen the editorial and consumer education strategy across the Naturally Well Blog, video, social, PDP- supporting education, and other digital experiences.• Guide organic social strategy, publishing, community engagement, platform best practices, and the continued development of Nordic Naturals' social voice and presence.• Partner with influencer and creator team members to identify, brief, and activate appropriate creators, emphasizing authentic, reusable content and measurable performance.• Establish content KPIs and reporting practices, using performance data, audience insights, and business outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and optimize future content.• Build social listening and content intelligence capabilities using Dash Social or similar tools to identify conversations, trends, competitive activity, and actionable opportunities.• Regularly share content performance, audience insights, trends, and recommendations with Brand and other stakeholders.• Partner with Brand, DTC/eCommerce, Media, and other teams to connect content to measurable outcomes such as engagement, traffic, education, consideration, conversion, and brand growth.• Maintain brand standards, regulatory compliance, accuracy, and safety across content channels.• Improve content workflows, governance, reuse, and scalability across Sunwave Studio and the broader Marketing organization.• Evaluate emerging platforms, GenAI capabilities, external partners, and content formats that can improve speed, quality, relevance, and creative effectiveness.• Support major brand initiatives, including rebrand work, by representing content and channel needs in cross-functional planning.• Other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSCompetency Statements• Strategic Perspective - Connects Brand and business strategy to channel and content execution.• Leading Employees - Attracts, motivates, develops, and provides clear direction to employees.• Building Collaborative Relationships - Builds productive relationships across teams and external partners.• Participative Management - Involves others, listens, and builds commitment while maintaining accountability.• Taking Initiative - Identifies opportunities, solves problems, and moves work forward independently.• Communication - Communicates strategy, priorities, insights, and feedback clearly and concisely.• Analytical Thinking - Uses data, audience insights, and performance trends to inform decisions.• Innovative - Explores new platforms, formats, technologies, and creative approaches.• Composure - Demonstrates sound judgment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.• Accountable - Takes ownership for outcomes, follows through, and learns from results.SKILLS & ABILITIESComputer Skills:• Dash Social, or similar social publishing, analytics, and listening platforms.• Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Mac OS.• Working familiarity with CMS platforms, digital analytics, and emerging GenAI/content technologies.Certifications & Licenses:• BA/BS in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.• 8+ years of relevant content, social media, editorial, digital marketing, or integrated marketing experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility.• 4+ years of demonstrated people leadership and direct team management experience required.• Demonstrated success building, developing and inspiring high-performing multidisciplinary teams.• A strong creative and editorial point of view, with the ability to articulate a vision, bring others along and raise the quality of the work without needing to personally own every executionOther Requirements:• Evidence of leading teams through change, building new capabilities and creating clarity in evolving organizations.• Demonstrated experience developing cross-channel content strategies and editorial calendars.• Strong understanding of major social platforms, latest trends and best practices, creator/influencer content, audience behavior, and digital content performance.• Experience using analytics and audience insights to optimize content and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.• Health, wellness, nutrition, CPG, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.
