We are a pet-focused underwriter with deep insurance industry experience, offering a product with proven consumer appeal.**Job Summary:****Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC)** is seeking an **Actuarial Analyst** who will analyze and evaluate the likelihood of future events to reduce and manage future financial risks.**Job Location: Hybrid****Main Responsibilities:*** Completes and interprets actuarial analysis, valuations, cost estimates, and modeling using mathematics, statistical programming, and financial theory.* Assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states.* Researches rate filings, as needed.* Maintains and updates existing models, tools, and other files used for analysis.* May prepare reserving, forecasting, rate filings, pricing analysis, and experience reports for review.* Completes ad hoc reporting, as necessary.* Completes appropriate database work, as necessary.* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)* 2 years’ relevant experience* Licenses/Certifications: Must have passed Two+ Actuarial Exams#carrier#liAll of our jobs come with great benefits including healthcare, parental leave and opportunities for career advancements.
