Senior Accountant

Client in Kings County seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for a company's financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. Responsibilities include:

• Recommending ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Preparing documentation for External Auditors.
• Analyzing financial statements for discrepancies and alerting the CFO if necessary.
• Coordinating semi-annual audits and assisting the CFO in running audits.
• Reconciling accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Delegating financial responsibilities to the accounting team.
• Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures.
• Managing income and expenditure accounts.
• Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data.
• Keeping a check on the company's finances based on financial status.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.

Skills required include:

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations.

A 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required if the associate has recent equivalent professional experience. Must have 5+ years experience as Senior Accountant within the Ag Industry and experience with Famous Software.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 Per Hour
