About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Technologist – OR CST

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Holiday rotation required | Expected 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule period | On-call expected: up to 4 call shifts per 4-week schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub into a wide variety of surgical cases including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures
• Support a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center main OR environment across 21 operating suites covering all surgical specialties
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage across like units or sister facilities as required
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency surgical needs as assigned
• Chart and document using EPIC electronic health records system
• Wear a radiation badge (must be provided by agency) in compliance with facility radiation safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required — must be supplied by the placing agency
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
• Experience with ENT flap procedures
• Proficiency with Robotic-assisted surgery, specifically the Da Vinci Xi system
