Job Description & Skill Requirement:

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Lead to lead the design, development, integration, and validation of embedded software solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in STM32 microcontrollers, embedded firmware architecture, battery management systems (BMS), power electronics interfaces, and BESS industry standards.

The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of embedded engineers, driving technical decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable BESS standards, and delivering high-quality firmware solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead the embedded software development team for BESS products and platforms.

Define system architecture, firmware design strategy, coding guidelines, and development processes.

Review technical designs, source code, and validation results.

Mentor engineers and support technical skill development.

Embedded Firmware Development

Design and develop firmware using Embedded C/C++ on STM32 microcontroller platforms.

Develop low-level drivers, middleware, communication stacks, and application software.

Implement and optimize RTOS-based solutions (FreeRTOS or equivalent).

Perform board bring-up, peripheral integration, debugging, and performance optimization.

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Develop firmware for:

o Battery Management Systems (BMS)

o Energy Management Systems (EMS)

o Battery controllers

o Power conversion and monitoring systems

Implement cell monitoring, balancing, thermal management, SOC/SOH algorithms, protection mechanisms, and fault handling.

Interface with power electronics, sensors, relays, contactors, and protection systems.

Cybersecurity standards applicable to energy storage systems
