Be part of an extraordinary life!The Activities Assistant supports the planning and implementation of a diverse activity program aimed at addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents.Pay Range: $19-$22 per hour, based on experience.Flexible Hours!PRINCIPAL DUTIES Essential Job Duties:Assist in planning and coordinating activities, including reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outings, special events, and one-on-one visits.Help prepare and distribute the monthly calendar and newsletter.Assist in purchasing supplies for activities as needed.Distribute mail to residents daily.Direct the movement of residents to and from recreational areas.Announce scheduled activities over the intercom at least fifteen minutes prior to the activity.Coordinate and supervise volunteer activities, including training and support.Maintain accurate documentation of resident activity attendance.Plan and coordinate activities in the absence of the Activity Coordinator.Other Duties:Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.HOSPITALITY FOCUSOur community embraces a culture of hospitality, guided by the following promises:Greet residents, employees, and guests warmly, by name, and with a smile.Treat everyone with courteous respect.Anticipate and respond to the needs of residents, employees, and guests.Listen and respond enthusiastically in a timely manner.Hold ourselves and one another accountable.Embrace and value our differences.Make residents, employees, and guests feel important.Ask, "Is there anything else I can do for you?"Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times.Pay attention to details.WELLNESS FOCUSEmployees are expected to foster a healthy community culture through a whole-person approach to wellness, encompassing eight dimensions: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual, and Vocational.
