Medical Technologist - Hematology (Night Shift)

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Setting: On-Site
Location: Linden, NJ
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex hematology testing on clinical patient specimens
Conduct CBCs, differentials, and hematology-related assays
Support coagulation testing as required
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot hematology analyzers
Validate and release accurate test results through the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Investigate abnormal results and perform corrective actions when needed
Maintain quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) documentation
Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and laboratory regulatory standards
Collaborate with the night shift team to meet turnaround time expectations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory work environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience in clinical hematology testing
Strong knowledge of hematology workflows, instrumentation, and QC practices
Experience working in a hospital or high-volume reference laboratory setting
ASCP certification preferred (not mandatory)
Ability to work independently and reliably during overnight shifts

Shift Schedule (Night Shift) - Tuesday to Saturday from 11 pm to 7:30 am

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 annually (competitive based on experience)
Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) - National Plan (eligible after 3 months)
PTO: 2 personal days + up to 5 sick days + 7 vacation days
401(k) available (no employer match)
