Open: August 21, 2026 — Closes: September 3, 2026 Summary You will serve as a Wildlife Refuge Manager within the U.S. US Fish and Wildlife Service, Audubon National Wildlife Refuge and Wetland Management District in Coleharbor, North Dakota. You will exercise leadership and direction for all staff under their supervision. Including planning, managing, and coordinating Refuge/Wetland Management District operations and programs. You will serve as technical expert in the operation, administration, and management of refuge lands. Major Duties Bureau-Wide (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) - This is a Merit Promotion announcement for career and career conditional Bureau employees, Career Transition eligibles (CTAP), Current or former time-limited employees eligible under Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) and those who are eligible under the hiring paths listed above. Refer to Required Documents section for more information. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Supervise a team of professional, technical, analytical, administrative support staff, and blue-collar workers (permanent and seasonal staff), setting a team attitude of adhering to high professional standards and completion of accurate, high-quality work. Develop long-range plans, annual work plans, budgets and work schedules. Oversee, review and approve land and aquatic conservation activities, habitat creation, restoration, and contaminant projects, research studies, population studies, wildlife inventory, and monitoring activities. Apply current and changing natural resources laws, rules and regulations that affect the National Wildlife Refuge System (e.g., water rights, rights-of-way, oil and gas, easements, fee title lands, etc.) to ensure compliance with all. #J-18808-Ljbffr U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
