Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity is based near Ridgeland, SC and seeks a passionate educator comfortable providing both push-in resource support and co-teaching in at least two core content areas. You’ll play a key role collaborating with general education colleagues to foster an inclusive classroom environment and help students achieve their full potential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized push-in assistance within classrooms, adapting materials and strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Co-teach in a minimum of two core subjects, actively planning and instructing alongside content area teachers
• Manage a caseload of approximately 15-20 students, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and documentation requirements
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and collaborate with related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, collaboratively developing goals and monitoring progress
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the positive school climate

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Experience in middle grades setting preferred
• Proven ability to modify curriculum and instruction for students with a range of disabilities
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and students
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance standards
