Job Description The Salvation Army (TSA), Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) is a no‑fee program to assist men and women in completing our drug/alcohol rehabilitation program. Our employees share in the contribution toward maintenance and effectiveness of the program, which provides a greater sense of purpose and opportunity. Location RC Temecula Store 8, Temecula, CA 92590, USA Responsibilities Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point‑of‑sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards (CNO Standards), and donations. Assumes responsibility for all day‑to‑day store operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager, and discusses concerns with the District Sales Manager. Assists the Store Manager in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedules Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center, coordinates daily morning and shift‑change team meetings, and provides coaching, training, and development to Store Employees. Responsible for processing paperwork per Review Standards, especially regarding Time and Attendance compliance. Ensures high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction through excellent service, maintaining good community relations, and developing strategies to improve service to maximize the customer experience. Supports the Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals. Supervises, supports, and conducts reporting of program Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are put in place at the store. Ensures protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property, including safe funds, bank deposits, products for sale, store equipment, and building security. Secures the building during non‑operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol. Ensures safety measures are established and maintained consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations, and reports any safety incidents immediately. Assists with conducting and recording mandatory Weekly Store Meetings. May be transferred or relocated to other stores based on business needs. Completes all tasks (written or verbal) assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. One‑year previous retail experience required; supervisory experience preferred. Must pass a background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry. Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers, and donors. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks. Compensation and Benefits Part‑time position with a pay rate of $17.90 per hour at 25 hours per week.
