Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Qualified Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, SOX controls, and audit requirements. This is a broad accounting role that provides exposure to various areas of accounting, including cost, revenue, consolidation, intercompany, and corporate accounting, with responsibilities evolving in line with business needs and individual development.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders across the UK, US, and international finance teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a sound understanding of accounting principles, advanced Excel capability, and the flexibility to adapt to different areas of accounting as priorities change.

What you will do

• Preparing schedules and supporting analysis for month-end reporting.
• Preparing and posting monthly journals, accruals and reclassifications for the areas of the ledger you support.
• Co-ordinating with the wider finance team on a regular basis to obtain the information required for a timely month-end close.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reconciliations in Blackline and contributing to the clean-up of aged balance sheet items.
• Performing and evidencing SOX control activities to the required standard and timetable.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations and responding to auditor requests.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
• Assisting with analytical tasks, balance sheet risk reviews and analytical reviews.
• Supporting other areas of the accounting team and performing other accounting duties as required, including taking on new responsibilities as the team's needs change.

What we expect of you

• ACA (or SA equivalent) early or part qualified, or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP preferable; experience will be desirable but not necessary.
• Experience of working in an accounting or finance function, preferably for a multinational organisation, with multi-currency experience preferred, or a strong desire to learn.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices, with the ability to apply them across different areas of the ledger.
• Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business, while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong experience in Excel, including XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
