Maintenance Technician Position - Epic Property Management (Open to Motivated Problem-Solvers - Experience Welcome but Not Required!)

WHAT WE OFFER

• Starting pay $18-$32/hr (Based on experience, skills, and certifications).
• $500 sign-on bonus awarded after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
• Weekly pay.
• Premium On-Call Compensation: Rotating after-hours emergency calls are automatically paid at Time-and-Half (1.5x), including paid portal-to-portal mileage to and from your home.
• Paid mileage for all standard daily driving.

IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE (or are eager to develop):

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills: you can break down an issue, research options if needed, and choose the best fix.
• A methodical, detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
• Comfort using basic tools (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a required personal vehicle (truck or van strongly preferred - mileage paid).
• Your own basic set of hand/power tools.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication: professional with tenants, clear updates via app/photos.
• Proactive mindset: you spot potential issues before they become big problems.
• Flexibility to work independently and collaborate with the team.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to maintenance requests, diagnose issues, and complete repairs efficiently.
• Document work with photos and updates in our app.
• Interact professionally with tenants to schedule and complete appointments.
• Keep accurate time, mileage, and inventory records.
• Participate in team projects, meetings, and process improvements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

JOB DETAILS

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours + rotating on-call (weekends/evenings)
• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 (reliable commute or plans to relocate required)
