Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

• Structural analysis ofaircraftmodifications including design support and preparation of technical documentation necessary to ensure airworthiness

• Determination of stress levels in primary and secondaryaircraftstructure systems and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads as well as the comparison of these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities givendue considerationto applicable failure theories

Qualifications:

• Must bepursuing aBachelorsdegree aMastersdegree or a PhD inMechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Engineering MechanicsMaterials ScienceEngineeringor related fieldat an accredited university.

Preferred Skills:

• CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systemsstructuresand mechanisms

• Familiarity with transducer instrumentation data collection and or automation and software programming for numerical analysis

• Must be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities

• Must be able to generate free body diagramsdeterminereaction forces calculate internal loads and develop shear and moment diagrams

• Working knowledge of one programming language

• Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue and damage tolerance principles

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C. area Denver or NYC areas is $25 - $48/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
