As part of the Platform Test team, You\u2019ll focus on test content development, automation, and validation of critical platform components such as CPU, Kernel, Performance, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux distributions. This role emphasizes execution excellence, problem-solving, and independent ownership of tasks with minimal guidance.\n\nSkills\n\n * Proficient in Python and Shell/Bash scripting; familiarity with Java or C/C++ is a plus.\n * Basic understanding of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Redhat, CentOS) and OS fundamentals (memory, scheduling, storage, virtualization).\n * Exposure to CI/CD workflows, source code management, and test automation tools.\n * Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and manage time effectively.\n * Willingness to learn performance benchmarking and optimization techniques.\n * Experience with real-world deployment scenarios is desirable; open-source contributions are a bonus.\n\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAs an Engineer, you will:\n\n * Develop and maintain automated test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD workflows.\n * Execute test plans and validate platform components for performance, stability, and compliance.\n * Enhance existing test frameworks and contribute to automation improvements.\n * Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and resolve issues quickly.\n * Automate industry-standard benchmarks and assist in incorporating OEM requirements.\n * Troubleshoot technical challenges and deliver solutions with a focus on efficiency.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nEducation Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.\n * Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.\n * Strong programming foundation in Python and scripting languages.\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
