Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 / yr + stock options, 401k matching, and other benefits

Role Overview

Seasats' deal volume is continuing to grow, so we're looking for someone with the organization and communications skills needed to help execute our quote-to-booking process. This person will be responsible for preparing pricing and quotes, working alongside business development leads who own the customer relationship and write the proposals. They will also help manage the company's customer relationship management (CRM) platform, serving as a reliable focal point for a business development team that may be remote or traveling much of the time.

Role Details

In this position, you'll act as an air traffic controller for our business development team, facilitating information flows between customers, BD reps, and our engineering teams. You'll execute our CRM and quoting processes, leveraging technology and automation to create reliable and scalable processes. You'll become familiar enough with our products to price a configuration accurately and answer a customer's first questions yourself, and you'll work closely with BD and engineering teams to cover the rest of the gaps.

Some specific tasks might include:

• Executing company quote and booking processes
• Practicing in-the-trenches leadership to ensure multidisciplinary teams deliver quotes and approvals on deadline
• Ensuring our CRM is up to date before weekly pipeline reviews
• Identifying and implementing quoting and workflow automation (Slack workflows, CRM automation, pricing catalogs) to minimize manual effort
• Serving as first responder for inbound RFQs from our website and referred leads – qualifying them, understanding their requirements, and developing quotes to meet their specific needs
• Receiving customer POs and contract documents, routing them for internal review, and confirming terms before booking
• Building the pricing and cost basis that BD leads use in proposals and capture packages

About You

You're an excellent written communicator and someone who gains deep satisfaction from organizing things and closing loops. You love a well-formatted document or a clean spreadsheet, and you're probably quite proud of your bookshelf at home. You're comfortable telling a busy engineer you need a number by Thursday, and a quote sitting unanswered for three days bothers you personally. You're very comfortable working with numbers and technical information, and you're able to collaborate well with cross-disciplinary teams.

In addition, you likely have:

• Years of experience in sales operations, deal desk, order management, or inside sales
• Experience working at product/manufacturing/engineering businesses
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRMs – building workflows and reports, not just entering data
• Experience building quotes and managing pricing
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Suite

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience selling to defense or government customers, including familiarity with purchase orders, terms and conditions, and common FAR clauses
• Experience with workflow automation tools (Slack Workflow Builder, Zapier, HubSpot workflows)
• Experience with CPQ or configurable-product pricing
