Maintenance Supervisor - Beaver Pond

Overview Maintenance Supervisor - Beaver Pond at Bowery Residents' Committee Responsibilities Supervise assigned maintenance staff. Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the facility. Make repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical. Perform preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems. Ensure periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented. Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed. Receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies. Move furniture as needed. Be a member of the fire safety team and participate in fire drills. On call for emergencies (may require early and/or late hours). Related duties as assigned. Hours Full time, 37.5 hours per week Tues-Thurs 1pm-9:30pm Fri-Sat 8am-4:30pm Qualifications Five years of experience in building maintenance; experience in trades is helpful. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to use independent discretion and judgment. Certificate of fitness for Fire Safety Director preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to communicate in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Vaccination preferred but not required.
