Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the Operating Room. This fast-paced environment demands a motivated individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 38 hours per week
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• On-Call Requirements: 2 call days per week, average response time of 30 minutes to 1 hour
• Weekend On-Call: 1 weekend every 8 weeks
• Holiday: Rotating call for holidays

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Operating Suites: 8
• Average Number of Cases per Day: 25
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• EMR System: CPSI

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting.
• Assist in various orthopedic and spine surgeries, including Makoplasty, total joints, fusions, and arthroscopies.
• Participate in 15 minute turnover times and 30 minute turnover times for robotic cases.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons and OR techs.
• Engage in cleaning and turnover processes to maintain an efficient surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Orthopedic and Spine surgeries.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to act decisively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to support fellow team members in various roles within the Operating Room.
