Lead Software Engineer - Java, Resiliency

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of hands-on experience coding in Java Spring Boot.
• We require a Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• We need practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• We look for a proven record of delivering in regulated enterprise environments.
• We require proficiency in automation and continuous delivery practices.
• We expect strong knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• We value advanced familiarity with agile approaches such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We look for demonstrated proficiency with software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
• Preferred: 8+ years of coding experience.
• Preferred: prior large-scale financial services engineering experience.
• Preferred: experience with cloud-based solutions, especially AWS.
• Preferred: experience with AI/ML, Generative AI solutions, and agentic engineering.
• Preferred: familiarity with risk and resiliency domains.

• We design, build, and troubleshoot software solutions using creative and non-traditional approaches to solve technical challenges.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify ways to remove or automate recurring remediation work to improve the stability of our applications and systems.
• We design and deliver backend services and automation pipelines that support critical initiatives.
• We lead evaluation sessions with product owners and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical suitability, and alignment with existing systems and information architecture.
