Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care through adherence to the nursing care plan. In this role, you will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while focusing on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs in collaboration with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing personnel and ancillary staff.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
• Support a positive unit environment through teamwork and efficient communication.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required before the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required before the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
