Responsibilities Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our team. In this hands‑on role, you will work directly with patients experiencing behavioral health challenges, helping to ensure their safety, support their treatment plans, and promote a positive therapeutic environment. The name Three Trails was selected to honor the historical significance of the city of Independence as the starting point for the Santa Fe, Oregon and California Trails. The logo icon is a compass, which is symbolic of wayfinding, and metaphorically the personal journey to recovery. The Groundbreaking for the new hospital was held in January 2025. Beam topping was held in July 2025. The facility is expected to open in the second half of 2026. Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will: Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health setting Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all times Conduct routine patient safety checks and observations Support patients with daily living activities as appropriate Respond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalations Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans.
