Job Opportunity Position: Polysomnographic Technician Location: Canton, GA Schedule: 12-hour Night Shift (7 PM - 7:30 AM), Varied Days Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Polysomnographic Technician to join our Sleep Disorders Center. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their equipment for sleep disorders testing. You will monitor polysomnographic data and document findings in accordance with established policies. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for sleep disorder testing and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Monitor polysomnograms, documenting sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff regarding testing procedures.
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all aspects of the job.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty of polysomnography.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders and relevant activities.
- One year of experience specifically in sleep study activities.
- Current and unrestricted certification or registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
