Senior Corporate Compliance Consultant

The Senior Consultant, Regulatory Change Management is responsible for executing regulatory change management processes to support enterprise compliance across all jurisdictions and product lines. This role evaluates enacted laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance, determines potential business impact, and facilitates alignment between regulatory requirements and business operations. This position operates as an experienced individual contributor, applying independent judgment to analyze regulatory changes, conduct research, and provide clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders. The role partners closely with Legal, Business Units, and cross-functional teams to support effective implementation and ongoing compliance. We have 3 open positions Position Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $131,000.00 Pay Rate Type: Salary Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Scope & Impact Supports enterprise-wide compliance across all applicable jurisdictions and business lines Manages a high-volume portfolio of regulatory changes with varying levels of complexity and risk Ensures regulatory obligations are identified, communicated, and tracked to completion undefined Key Responsibilities Regulatory Intake & Monitoring Monitor regulatory sources (e.g., trade associations, Departments of Insurance, Legal, Government Affairs) for new and emerging regulatory activity. Review enacted legislation, regulations, and bulletins to determine enterprise applicability. Ensure timely entry and documentation of all applicable items in the RCM system (e.g., Jira or equivalent). Maintain accurate intake dates, regulatory effective dates, and supporting documentation. Applicability Assessment & Routing Evaluate regulatory changes to determine potential impact to products, operations, or business functions. Identify and assign to business contacts and stakeholders. Determine appropriate classification (e.g., Action Required, Informational, Not Applicable). Provide clear, concise summaries of regulatory requirements to support business understanding. Governance, Tracking & Oversight Monitor assigned regulatory items through the full lifecycle—from intake to resolution. Track status, follow-ups, and completion of action plans to ensure compliance deadlines are met. Escalate risks, delays, or gaps in response or implementation. Ensure data quality, completeness, and audit readiness of all RCM records. Stakeholder Partnership Partner with business areas to support applicability determination, action planning, and implementation tracking. Collaborate closely with Legal and Government Affairs to clarify regulatory intent and interpretation. Serve as a point of contact for regulatory change inquiries across the enterprise. Facilitate communication of regulatory changes through structured notifications and reporting. Regulatory Research Responsibilities Conduct regulatory research in response to business inquiries (e.g., product, underwriting, claims, operations, etc). Partner with Legal to validate interpretations and ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update 51-jurisdiction surveys / regulatory inventories to reflect current laws, rules, and regulatory expectations. Track changes across jurisdictions and proactively identify emerging trends or impacts to the business. Support ad hoc research requests including, but not limited to: Product development or changes Market conduct concerns or complaints Regulatory exams or inquiries Internal audit or compliance reviews Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Compliance, Legal Studies, Risk Management, or related field. 4–7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal research, or regulatory change management. Strong understanding of P&C insurance regulatory environment. Demonstrated ability to analyze laws/regulations and assess business impact.Experience working with workflow or case management systems (e.g., Jira, Onspring, or similar). Preferred Qualifications Paralegal certification or legal studies background strongly preferred Experience managing or maintaining multi-state regulatory requirements or surveys Prior experience partnering directly with Legal teams on regulatory interpretation Key Skills Regulatory analysis and issue spotting Legal and compliance research Data accuracy and attention to detail Clear, concise written communication (non-legal audience) Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Ability to manage high volume of work with competing deadlines Key Competencies Business Insight: Applies regulatory knowledge to support business decisions and risk mitigation Manages Complexity: Effectively prioritizes and executes work in a high-volume, multi-jurisdictional environment Decision Quality: Uses sound judgment to assess applicability and regulatory impact Collaborates: Builds strong partnerships across Compliance, Legal, and business teams Communicates Effectively: Delivers clear, concise, and actionable guidance tailored to the audience Ensures Accountability: Drives work to completion and maintains high standards for data quality and compliance Work Environment & Expectations Operates in a fast-paced, high-volume regulatory environment Manages multiple priorities across jurisdictions and business areas Requires strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Regular collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and business partners Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned Travel Requirements Up to 10% Physical Requirements Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
