Collections Representative

Our client is seeking a Collections Representative III to join their team in Northwest Austin, TX. This individual will be responsible for managing complex delinquent consumer accounts while providing exceptional member service and protecting the financial interests of the credit union. The ideal candidate will bring strong collections experience, sound judgment, and the ability to balance effective recovery strategies with a member-focused approach. This is a direct-hire, hybrid opportunity based in Austin, TX, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and follows a flexible schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely. Key Responsibilities: Manage early- and late-stage delinquent consumer loan, credit card, and deposit accounts Negotiate repayment arrangements and develop loss mitigation solutions Handle complex accounts involving bankruptcies, repossessions, skip tracing, and legal referrals Process insurance claims, skip claims, and maintain accurate account documentation Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior collections team members Analyze collection trends and assist with operational reporting Partner with internal departments and third-party vendors to improve collection strategies Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements Support process improvement initiatives and departmental projects as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of consumer collections experience Experience handling repossessions, bankruptcies, and advanced loss mitigation processes Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to mentor team members and collaborate effectively across departments High school diploma or equivalent Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
