Registered Nurse - Cardiology (Telemetry) - Stress Testing

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with mandatory telemetry experience and a background in cardiology to join our team. The RN will play a critical role at the Heart and Vascular Institute, primarily responsible for performing various stress testing procedures including plain treadmill tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. Cardiologists will be available onsite to read all studies and assist during dobutamin stress testing. Additionally, a Nuclear Med Tech will be present for all nuclear stress testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing procedures including treadmill tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms.
• Work collaboratively with onsite cardiologists for study interpretation and patient care.
• Learn and implement stress testing protocols as required.
• Start IVs and administer Definity during imaging processes.
• Participate in inpatient studies, collaborating with echo technicians on Saturdays, as needed.

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. There are no evening shifts, and the Saturday call shift involves working from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM for inpatient studies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure.
• Telemetry experience is mandatory.
• Cardiology experience is preferred.
• Experience with stress testing protocols and IV administration.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
