TITLE: Asst. Shift Supervisor (3rd Shift) POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provide support to Shift Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Previous production experience is a must, preferably in an injection molding environment. The associate must have the ability to run all injection molding machines and have a strong understanding of the utility position. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook) Basic SAP is preferred as daily use of SAP may be required in this position. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remains highly visible on the shop floor, coordinating assignments of all production personnel. Assigns work locations and tasks. Responsible for proper staffing of the production lines. Schedules breaks and lunches for production personnel. Ensures that all manufacturing orders are completed on time. Ensures that all products produced meet all quality standards and customer requirements. Assists with ensuring efficient labor and machine performance is met and maintained. Oversees and participates in line clearance events and follows the 'Line Preparation and Clearance' procedure. Assists with ensuring efficient labor and machine performance is met and maintained. Coordinates problem solving / rework efforts Assists with personnel performance management issues and progressive discipline if warranted. WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION: Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles. Body agility is emphasized. Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. Frequently lifting 5 to 25 pounds. Color, depth perception and field of vision is pertinent to requirements. Expert and proper use of lathes, drills, presses, power tools. Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions. Subject to loud noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
