Job Description / Essential Elements: Food Service Worker BP 4219.13 Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of a variety of foods.
(Basic functions include but not limited to)
- Assist in the preparation as directed
- Serve a variety of foods as directed
- Take care of unused food as it comes from the serving areas
- Wash dishes and kitchen utensils
- Sanitize tables and counters
- Dispose of waste
- Keep room and equipment clean
- May include money handling
- Other duties as may be directed by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees using tact, courtesy and good judgment.
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of bending, stooping, and leaning, and may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light to moderate weight (1-20 pounds)
