Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Woodland, CA. This position offers weekly pay, a good hourly rate, and a full benefits package. Drivers work across Southern California, Oregon, Washington, and possibly Arizona. Pay & Schedule Hourly Pay: $33.50 per hour Hours per Week: 35–40 hours Schedule: Monday–Friday on call Start Times: 3:30 AM – 5:30 AM or 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Layovers: Taken in a Ryder‑paid hotel Paid Weekly Route & Equipment Delivery: SOLO to Southern CA, OR, WA, and possibly AZ when needed Route: Home daily & regional – 2 possible layovers Tractor type: Day Cab Trailer types: Dry Van 28', 31', 48', 53' Equipment: Electric pallet jack & lift gate Freight: Touch – Hardware supplies Endorsements: Hazmat within 90 days of hire (Ryder reimburses cost and provides training) Trucks: 36‑month or newer, maintained 24/7 roadside assistance, fueling at over 800 nationwide locations Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell‑phone & boot allowance provided Safety leadership: drivers are the captain, making safety decisions and protecting the job 401(k) rollover now & company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Referral bonus: up to $1,500 for every hired driver Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or background requirements of the customer.
