HVAC Service Technician

HVAC Service TechnicianChampion AC of Austin is seeking an experienced and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and/or light commercial heating and cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety and quality, and a passion for helping customers stay comfortable year-round.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systemsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding issues, proposed solutions, and service detailsEnsure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and local codesMaintain accurate records of services provided using company software or service ticketsEducate customers on system operation, maintenance tips, and energy efficiency optionsCollaborate with dispatch, sales, and installation teams as neededMaintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working conditionFollow all safety protocols and company proceduresRequirements:3-5 years of experience as an HVAC service technician3-4 years of HVAC Sales experienceEPA Certification (Type II or Universal) requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage time efficientlyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (attics, crawlspaces, outdoors, etc.)Availability for rotating on-call shifts and emergency service as neededPreferred Qualifications:HVAC Trade School diploma or equivalentNATE Certification a plusExperience with smart thermostats and high-efficiency systemsWhat We Offer:Competitive pay (based on experience)Performance bonuses and incentive programsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOngoing training and career developmentLocation- Austin, Texas
