User Interface and Experience Designer (UI/UX)

Stryker seeks a staff-level UI/UX designer to develop intuitive software interfaces for Mako robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery applications. The role combines visual and interaction design with technical execution, focusing on hip replacement systems while supporting next-generation technologies across a distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop intuitive software interfaces for Mako robotic-assisted surgery applications, initially for Total Hip Arthroplasty
- Create high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and reusable UI components using Figma and design systems
- Translate clinical workflows and user needs into functional, accessible software experiences with detailed specifications
- Collaborate with UX researchers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to incorporate user feedback and clinical insights
- Partner with software engineers and design teams to ensure consistent implementation and maintain design system standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, interaction design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years professional experience in UI/UX design, software product design, or interaction design
- Proficiency with Figma, including design systems and component libraries
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant user interface design capabilities
- Experience with complex software or technical systems requiring detailed interfaces
Compensation: $89,300 - $148,800 USD annual
