Custodial Lead - IRS Federal Building, Lanham MDThe Kleane Kare Team, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Custodial Lead to oversee daily custodial operations and support a high-performing team. This role is responsible for ensuring service excellence, maintaining compliance with company policies and contract requirements, and promoting a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.The Custodial Lead plays a key role in bridging day-to-day operations with leadership expectations, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to sustainability and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and supervise routine custodial cleaning in accordance with contract standards (GSA Performance Work Statement)Enforce company programs including the Green Cleaning Plan and Quality Control PlanMonitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with company policiesEnsure adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocolsConduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety complianceTrack inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of materialsCoordinate supply orders and maintain proper storage of cleaning chemicals and equipmentAssist with maintenance and servicing of custodial equipmentSupport training on safety procedures, chemical handling, PPE usage, and emergency responsePromote a professional, respectful, and productive work environmentAssist Site Supervisor with coaching and performance improvement effortsUtilize company systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and trackingMaintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance logs, and incidentsSupport timekeeping compliance and resolve discrepanciesPrepare reports on operational performance, compliance, and client feedbackMaintain professional communication with staff, management, and clientsAssist in addressing client concerns and service requests promptlyAttend meetings and provide operational updates as neededAssume Site Supervisor operational responsibilities when requiredSupport overall site operations and complete additional duties as assignedQualificationsPrior experience in custodial services, janitorial supervision, or facilities management preferredStrong leadership and team coordination skillsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning best practicesAbility to manage inventory, equipment, and staff performanceProficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn company systemsStrong communication and organizational skillsEqual Opportunity EmployerThe Kleane Kare Team, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
