Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Analytics And Reporting Platform SupportThis individual will be responsible for supporting the company's analytics and reporting platform. Development experience with the Databricks Lakehouse or similar product utilizing medallion architecture is essential. Knowledge of SSRS desired and Sigma or other BI Tool preferred. The successful candidate should be flexible with performing a variety of BI related tasks within a small team that includes third party partner(s). The role also entails interacting with business stakeholders to produce operational reports and dashboards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain Databricks ingestion pipelinesSupport Bronze, Silver and Gold layer transformationsMonitor Databricks scheduled jobs and resolve failed pipeline executionsSupport creation of star schema and maintain fact/dimension/bridge tablesEnsure adherence to data governance standards and support Unity Catalog initiativesDocument lineage and transformation logicProvide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.Develop and maintain SQL Server queries and viewsCreate and maintain operational reports and dashboards in SSRS and SigmaRecommend improvements to reduce load times and storage costsMust be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervisionWorking with key stakeholders to make sure deliverables are on clear and concise.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will not be supervising any other employees at this time. However, the position does require the individual to be personable and team-oriented.Education/Experience Required3+ years experience developing and implementing at enterprise-scale within Databricks Lakehouse or similar platformKnowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business (Accounting) and/or Information Systems degreeAbility to design and build insightful reports and dashboardsAbility to multi-task and manage priorities.Excellent communication skills, both written and oralSelf-motivated and driven to achieve success within a consulting environmentComputer Skills NecessaryData Warehouse Medallion architecture, Databricks strongly preferredExperience with BI tool like Sigma (preferred), Power BI, Tableau or QlikCrystal Reports, SSRS, or similar reporting toolsMicrosoft SQL Server T-SQLDatabricks SQLGit version controlKnowledge of PySpark and Python programmingMicrosoft Office ApplicationsPhysical Demands/RequirementsPrimarily sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting, frequent use of computers, and regular communication. Must possess strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Work EnvironmentWorking in high-energy office environment with several ongoing projects.Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually, with an anticipated hiring range of $90,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This position is bonus eligible.
