Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Location: Elkridge, MD. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 12:00pm–4:30pm; Saturdays as assigned. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Travel to additional sites as needed, reliable transportation Pay Range Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour Benefits Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are scheduled a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
