Transplant Hepatologist

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BE/BC Fellowship trained Gastroenterologist with Hepatology interest/experience to join Baylor Scott & White – Temple, TX

We are a tertiary referral center highlighted by nine fellows, 16 GI faculty, 10 APPs, GI Dietician, GI Social Worker, GI Pharmacist, and four dedicated Colorectal Surgeons.

Position Highlights

• We are looking for a Gastroenterologist, with Hepatology focus to help with our growing population of pre and post liver transplant patients as well as non-transplant liver patients.
• Opportunity to partner with the Department Chair (Michael Volk) and Hepatology Director at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas (Sumeet Asrani) to build a satellite liver transplant program.
• Board certification in Transplant Hepatology is a plus, but not required.
• The ideal candidate will be comfortable with teaching and working with fellows and Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Call:1:12. Cover one hospital only. Fellows take first call.
• Schedule: Good mix of clinic and procedures.

Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Licensed medical physician.
• TX licensed by start date.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology and BC/BE IM.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Transplant Hepatology or transplant experience a plus.
