How you’ll make an impact in this role Drive daily OR flow, managing schedules and resources to ensure seamless surgical throughput. Mastermind sterile setups and complex equipment prep for a diverse range of high-stakes cases. Act as the "right hand" in the scrub role, anticipating needs and maintaining surgical hemostasis. Direct precise patient positioning and draping while maintaining rigorous sterile technique. Command the sterile field by managing meticulous instrument counts and inventory organization. Shape the next generation of techs through active coaching, orientation, and performance leadership. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
