Parts Representative

The main function of the Parts Representative is to facilitate the efficient and precise supply of automotive parts for the workshop, as well as for customers. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge about automotive components, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Its main responsibility is to ensure that the correct parts are available and delivered on time, using electronic catalog systems, inventory management software, and processes established by the dealership or automotive company. In addition, the representative must maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal staff, handle returns, resolve discrepancies, and actively contribute to the achievement of sales objectives and customer satisfaction. The Parts Representative plays a strategic role in the profitability of the business, as its performance directly impacts the efficiency of the workshop, customer loyalty, and inventory management. It must demonstrate initiative, commitment to operational excellence, and a proactive approach towards continuous improvement of service and processes.

Requirements

• Diploma of higher education (minimum requirement).
• Technical studies in automotive mechanics, logistics, or administration (preferable).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in automotive parts sales, customer service in dealerships, workshops, or distributors.
• Practical knowledge of automotive components and their application by model, year, and vehicle specifications.
• Knowledge of inventory processes, special orders, warranties, and returns.
• Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 50 pounds safely.
• Familiarity with parts management systems and ERP software (CDK, Tekion).
• Experience using electronic parts catalogs.
• High customer service orientation and problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and effective follow-up.
• Availability to work on weekends, if necessary.
• Bilingual (English, Spanish).
