Life Guard Job Description A Lifeguard's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of patrons at an assigned aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing all pool rules fairly and consistently. Lifeguards ensure proper pool water chemicals, record keeping, and maintaining a clean and enjoyable aquatics facility. Lifeguards are also responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to their Supervisor. Being a Seasonal Lifeguard is the PERFECT Summer Job! Pool schedules are flexible with summer vacations. While it is fun, the role of a Lifeguard must be taken very seriously, because at any time someone's life might depend on YOU! Life Guard Requirements Minimum age 15 years old by date of hire or last day of the lifeguard course. Must be able to work Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Must be able to work all weekends throughout the summer (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Must conduct themselves in a professional manner and be attentive and focused. Must have a current nationally approved Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certificates or obtain before the beginning of the season. Not certified just yet? See the link below for details on our Lifeguarding Certification course and how to register: Experienced, motivated Lifeguards who demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational, and leadership skills may be considered as a Pool Manager, with the opportunity for more responsibility and higher pay. Season: May 25th, 2025 - Sept 1st, 2025. Pay rate: $14/hr - $17/hr + Overtime (depending on experience). Bonus and incentive opportunities are available! Ask how you can qualify for a $250 bonus.
