We are searching for an Electrical Field Service Technician for our Jenbacher team in the U.S./ppJoin our team now!/ppThis Field Service Technician will perform electrical and some mechanical hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines, including but not limited to commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhaul, Jenbacher Gas Engines range in power from 0.25 to 9.5 MW, and run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases (e.g., biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, combustible industrial waste gases)./ppEssential Responsibilities:/pulliExecute service hands-on activities in compliance with the maintenance protocol of the engine, for example: maintenance activities such as replace filters and other components, perform relevant mechanical and electrical inspections, measurements and other tasks./liliCarry out minor repairs on the engine additionally to the planned service./liliPerform troubleshooting activities with analytical mindset and proposing solutions aligned to Jenbacher. Understand electrical/mechanical failures of the engine/alternator, as well as electronic failures associated to control systems. Understanding and interpretation of historical data parameter of the engine./liliManage and work with third party suppliers when needed./liliWork effectively with colleagues, subcontractors and customer personnel in a healthy environment, either as team-player or as leader upon each situation, with a team of technicians or independently./liliProvide information about planned services and progress update of the maintenance./liliOwnership of assigned sites and customers, proactively searching to maximize engines reliability./liliCreate a technical report specifying the reason for the visit, the actions performed and the results, describe the use of materials and if needed recommend follow-up actions/liliResponsible to maintain basic set of tools in hand, critical spare parts for engines covered, vehicle condition and availability, ensure that they are approved, clean and stored properly/liliProcess timesheets, expense reports, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) forms and job reports in a timely manner/liliComply with all EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site/li/ulpQualifications/Requirements:/pulliMust have prior Field Technician experience such as automotive, power generation, heavy equipment or diesel engines./liliAbility to crouch, twist, bend, kneel and stoop for extended periods of time/liliGood electrical knowledge/electrician skills, such as wiring panels and alternators/liliExperience interpreting wiring diagrams, interphase and mechanical drawings./liliProgrammable logic controller (PLC) knowledge/liliTroubleshooting skills with analytical mindset/liliLegal permit to work in the United States/liliAbility to travel inclusion of some overnight travel./li/ulpELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:/pulliAbility and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time/liliPossess a valid drivers license/liliAbility and willingness to work remotely, as required/liliLegal authorization to work in the U.S is required.
