What You'll Do:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
The Driver I role supports safe and efficient operations by operating a roll-off truck to load and unload materials and assisting with general yard and production activities. This role also helps monitor, clean, and inspect plant production equipment, maintains a clean work area, and works closely with teammates to support daily operations.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.

Operate a roll-off truck to load and unload materials.

Work a 1st shift schedule of 5:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation.

Monitor, clean, and inspect plant production equipment to ensure proper operation.

Assist other teammates as needed.

Perform cleanup and other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For:
Required:

Experience working in an industrial or outdoor environment.

Ability to drive equipment under varying working conditions.

Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

Reliable and dependable attendance.

Preferred:

Experience driving a straight truck, roll-off truck, or box truck.

Commercial Driver License (CDL).
