General Mechanic- Seasonal position

Overview: Have a summer of FUN! Join our team to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all rides and attractions at Darien Lake. Poistion begins at $20.00 Free admission to park and other Six Flags locations. Responsibilities: Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision. Track ride parts inventory and submit request supply needs. Peform required maintenance to ensure rides are clean and in compliance with manufacturers specifications. Maintain compliance and documentation to manufacturer specifications, park standards, and state regulations. To inspect rides and attractions and notify the department leadership of any hazards that may endanger the general public of Darien Lake staff. Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake. Maintain good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs. Qualifications: Possess the ability to work at heights. Must possess own hand tools. Must have basic mechanical knowledge to include; gear reduction, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical. Perform assisgned tasks in a safe manner. Must be able to read, understand and implement maintenance and inspection procedures. Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid New York State Drivers License and successful completion of Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.
