Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT
• Maintains licensure requirements with the state
• Maintains annual CPR certification
• Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with procedures
• Documents and communicates patient care information to the next caregiver
• Analyzes CT examinations for quality control
• Operates CT and related equipment
• Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under physician's direction
• Transports and positions patients safely
