Truck Driver CDL A Regional at Ryder System Vacaville, CA

Position Description Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Vacaville, CA. Pay and schedule: Weekly pay: $1,500 or more per week Hourly pay: $30.62 per hour Hours per week: 45 hours Per diem: $50.00 per night; 1 night out per week booked in Ryder paid hotel Schedule: Monday - Friday (4 day work week); Start time: 4:00 AM Routes: SOLO to Bay Area & Northern CA Home daily/regional with 1 night out per week Equipment and freight: Tractor type: straight trucks, pup trailer Trailer type: 26' straight truck, 28' pup Freight: heavy touch - pet food Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance; company drivers fuel trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide Benefits: Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided Paid personal time off starts at day 1; 80 hours accrued in first year Pay out unused vacation time at hourly pay rate 12 weeks of paid maternity leave Immediate 401(k) rollover and contributions with company match at one year Quality employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels worldwide, electronics/appliances, cell phones, travel, etc. Drivers make decisions to keep themselves and others safe and are protected when they do Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass Ryder drug test Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check incl. drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for position Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards Maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free workplace.
