About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of current emergency room experience required License: Active Iowa license or compact multi-state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Current and active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC - Recent travel experience in emergency nursing - EPIC EMR experience Description: Quickly conduct clinician interviews via phone call or text. Candidates must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility. Employees who have previously separated from the organization cannot work in another market for 12 months. Contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. The unit has 16 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Critical drips are administered. Scrub colors include navy, black, or gray with solid tops and bottoms. A skills checklist specific to the emergency department is required. Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months are preferred. Certificates must be active and include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC. A De-Escalation Certificate is preferred. The NIH Stroke Scale certificate is a nice-to-have and can be obtained during onboarding.
