Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CMM programs for part inspection and measurement.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality requirements.
• Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for optimal data collection.
• Analyze measurement data, generate reports, and communicate results to relevant teams.
• Troubleshoot CMM equipment, programs, and measurement issues.
• Calibrate CMM equipment and ensure adherence to calibration schedules.
• Maintain and update CMM program libraries and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve measurement processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in PC-DMIS software for CMM programming.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a manufacturing quality environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model-based definition (MBD) or Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) data.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and its application in CMM data analysis.
• Ability to perform minor CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GD&T advanced concepts beyond basic interpretation, such as composite tolerances or simultaneous requirements.
