Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Open Heart ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) in a hospital setting — a 10-bed ICU
• Patient population includes critically ill and postoperative cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and general surgery patients ages 18 and older
• Specialized procedures include invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arrhythmia monitoring and intervention, IABP management, CRRT, VAD management, and ECMO
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to other ICU floors and med/surg floors as needed
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be prepared to pass an EKG exam on the first attempt — failure risks contract cancellation

Additional Information

• Candidates will undergo a clinical pre-screen to assess clinical fit before being presented to the hiring manager, who will conduct an interview
• May be assigned to care for COVID-positive patients
• This is a tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) for the duration of the contract
