Family Practice Physician

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an exciting 120-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska. The schedule involves Monday through Friday shifts, focusing on comprehensive primary care, urgent care, women's health, and chronic disease management. The ideal candidate will be adept at various procedures and prepared to serve a rural and Indian health population. Practice Info Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only) Patients Per Day: 17-22 Staffing Mix: Supported by CMAs, RNs, Case Managers, with 1-2 MDs, 1 PA, and 1 walk-in (UC) PA for triage. EMR: Cerner Responsibilities Manage a diverse patient panel, providing comprehensive primary care services. Address urgent care needs, including minor procedures like fish hook removals, suturing, and splintering. Provide women's health services, including pap smears, pelvic exams, IUD removal, and insertions. Manage complex chronic diseases such as Diabetes, hypertension, asthma, hyperlipidemia, COPD, and chronic pain. Potentially care for pediatric patients, supporting the existing internal medicine team. Serve the unique needs of a rural and Indian health population.
