Transportation Supervisor

Transportation SupervisorStar Blends is looking for a detail-driven and highly organized Transportation Supervisor to support our growing transportation operations. Serving both the Sparta and Chippewa Falls locations, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that feed deliveries are timely, efficient, safe, and aligned with production and customer needs. You'll help optimize routes, support drivers, coordinate logistics, and keep our operations running smoothly every single day.What a Day in Life Looks Like:Schedule, dispatch, and monitor trucks and drivers to ensure on-time deliveriesCommunicate daily load assignments, routes, and instructions to driversAdjust dispatch plans based on weather, customer changes, production needs, or equipment issuesTrack mileage, fuel usage, trip details, and delivery confirmationsOptimize routes for cost, mileage, and efficiency, seeking backhaul opportunitiesCoordinate incoming and outgoing loads with Production and PurchasingConduct regular driver check-ins, provide coaching, and support performance developmentTravel several times per month between Sparta and Chippewa Falls for on-site alignmentParticipate in safety meetings, leadership sessions, and cross-functional planningWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in transportation/logistics4–6 years of transportation, logistics, or dispatch experienceSupervisory or operational leadership experienceStrong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulationsExcellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution abilitiesHighly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch/fleet management software (Samsara a plus)Strong troubleshooting, route-planning, and problem-solving skillsBasic understanding of truck maintenanceValid driver's licensePreferred: Experience in agriculture, Bulk Feed Hauling, 3rd-party logistics, and/or routing optimization toolsWhat You'll Get:Competitive payHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan with company matchOpportunities for career growth and leadership developmentA collaborative, supportive team committed to safety and operational excellence Star Blends
