Social Media Intern

START: FALL 2026 General Description: The Social Media Intern supports Juneau's social media presence by helping create engaging content that showcases our people, projects, and culture. Working closely with the Brand Strategy Manager, this role provides hands-on experience in content creation and social media management while developing an understanding of brand storytelling and the construction industry. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, organized, and eager to learn about social media strategy and content development. Position Qualifications: Currently pursuing abachelors degree in marketing,communications,publicrelations or a related fieldStrong interest in social media marketing, digital marketing, and content creationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging social media platformsExperience creating content for personal, school, campus organization, or professional social media accounts Basic design and short-form videoediting skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva,CapCut,or similar)Detail-oriented with a passion for creativity and brand integrityWillingness to learn social media, digital marketing best practices, and about the construction industryAlignment with Juneaus Core Values: People, Passion, Commitment, Fun Duties and Responsibilities: Assistwith planning and executing social media campaignsfor Juneaus channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.Capture photos and videos at jobsites, company events,andvolunteer activities.Create, schedule,and publishcontent across Juneaus social media platforms.Write engaging social media captions that align with Juneaus brand voice.Create short-form videostoshowcase Juneaus values.Assistwith building andmaintaining Juneaus content calendar.Monitor social media trends andidentifyrelevantopportunities for Juneau toparticipate. Brainstorm and research ideas for originalcontent and trending topics. Monitor and respond tocomments, direct messages, and mentions.Trackand report on social media performance metricsand results andidentifies opportunities to improve engagementHelp ensure consistency of Juneaus brand messaging and visual identity across all social platforms. Job Expectations Position may require extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, talking both in person and over technological avenues,lifting up to 20 lbs. as needed. Periodic travel to Juneau Construction Company jobsites in the southeast for content capturing.
