NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – $2,600–$2,700/Week | Contract Assignment | Oakland, CA Location: Oakland, CA Pay Rate: $2,600 – $2,700 per week Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights Available) Position Type: Contract Assignment Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity in Oakland, California. This role is ideal for an RN with strong Level III and Level IV NICU experience who is comfortable working in high-acuity environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional neonatal critical care. The NICU RN will provide specialized care for critically ill and premature newborns while working closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and clinical staff to ensure the highest quality patient outcomes. Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed. Key Details Weekly Pay: $2,600 – $2,700/week Location: Oakland, CA Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts Days and Nights Available Contract assignment with potential extension opportunities Float opportunities to additional UCSF units and facilities as needed Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU environment Monitor ventilators, IV infusions, feeding tubes, vital signs, and neonatal critical care equipment Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans Assess, monitor, and document patient progress and responses to treatment Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, PICU teams, and interdisciplinary care staff to coordinate treatment plans Respond effectively to emergent neonatal situations and critical care interventions Educate and support parents and caregivers throughout hospitalization and treatment plans Float to other UCSF units and facilities as required to support patient care needs Qualifications Required: Active California RN License AHA BLS certification required AHA PALS certification required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required Minimum 2 years of Level III & Level IV NICU experience PICU experience required Willingness and ability to float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed Strong critical thinking, communication, and neonatal assessment skills Why Join This Opportunity?
