Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights) | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM / 6:00 PM–6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 4–8 respiratory treatments per round across multiple care areas including the ER, SPCU, OB (high-risk C-sections), Stress Lab, PFT Lab, and EEG Lab
• Manage mechanical ventilation including non-invasive ventilation (NIV) using Hamilton C1 and T1 ventilators ; operate ResMed home CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Draw ABGs, perform EKGs, and utilize iSTAT for point-of-care testing; set up Holter monitors
• Attend high-risk C-sections and provide PPV support for neonates (up to 28 days) prior to transfer; assist with stabilization of pediatric patients prior to transfer
• Administer all types of inhalation therapy to primarily adult patients
• Night shift therapists work independently; outpatient training and competency opportunities may be available depending on contract length and availability

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by the state
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of one (1) year of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilation including NIV, ABGs, EKGs, and iSTAT
• Ability and willingness to work both day and night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Neo-Puff and ability to support high-risk C-section cases
• Prior experience working independently in a low-census or critical access hospital environment
