Website: Job Summary: This Cook position is fulltimet time, offers full benefits and a convenient evening shift schedule. This dynamic individual will be under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, the cook performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties. The cook will prepare appropriate food items for hospital patients, staff, and visitors according to recipes. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Determines types and quantities of all foods to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and printed tallies. * Determines foods/supplies/equipment that are low in supply and uses list to communicate to Director/Supervisor. Also assists in putting foods/supplies away appropriately in designated storage area after delivery. * Prepares all foods according to approved recipes and to suitable appearance standards while using garnishes when appropriate * Ensures meals are ready at specified times and consults with director/supervisor regarding use of leftover food.
